The following list is our selection process for awarding post-secondary students with a Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame scholarship!

 1. Timeline:

a) In April scholarship packages sent out to the schools so they can make their selection

b) Saturday May 27, 2017 – Selections must be returned to the CSHF committee

c) Wednesday June 21, 2017 – 4:00 PM Hor’s D’oeuvres Reception at the Blackshop Restaurant (recipient can bring up to 5 relatives or friends)

2. Suggested Secondary School Selection Guidelines:

a) The recipient should be a positive ambassador for his or her school and the CSHF.

i) School athletic contribution

ii) range of athletic participation

iii) athletic success

iv) leadership qualities

b) Community contributions

i) involvement in athletic programs in the community as a participant, coach or official

ii) a positive role model for peers and the youth of the community

c) Academic and leadership

i) recipients should have sufficient academic success so that their scholastic experience will allow them the opportunity for post-secondary education

ii) recipients will fulfill the leadership ideals for their school

3. Presentation of the Scholarship(s)

a) We would like the student to be presented with the award by a member of the CSHF Committee at the Blackshop reception in June.

Fundraising

As a registered non-profit charitable organization the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame has to continually try to raise money to support its scholarship programs, the annual Induction Ceremony in May, and to maintain and updates its displays at the Cambridge Centre.
