Galt Terriers Baseball Inter-County + Senior Ontario (O.B.A.A.) Champs 1931
Coached by Bush McWhirter, the Terriers of 1931 repeated the feat of the 1922 and 1923 and 1930 Terriers teams by capturing all-Ontario honours. Among their players was the legendary Gord Bradshaw, a catcher, and league MVP Wib Kress and batting champion Alex Watts. Other players included R. ‘Scottie’ Ainslie, Vic Brown – centre field, Wally Grove – right field, George Heggie – shortstop, Clare Hoffman – right field, Wilbur Kress – pitcher, Carl Last – pitcher, Harold Lynch – 3rd base, ‘Bush’ McWhirter – coach, S. Pickering – pitcher, Art Quinn – 1st base, Boyd Shewan – 3rd base, Jimmie Stewart – 2nd base, Alex Watts – left field, George Weaver – centre field.
